Josipa is a doctoral student currently reasearching the relationship of motivational structure and personality traits with dropout of child and adolescent swimmers. Alongside her studies, she is a respected Croatian former competitive swimmer and coach.

While being one of the coaches to the national Croatian female swimmers, she works with the Swimming college of Croatian swimming Federation and is a selector of Down syndrome swimmers in Croatia. After finishing her swimming career at the Zadar Swimming Club, she overtook the role of a head coach from 2007 untill the present day.
